It focuses on interpreting techniques and does not teach fluency in a second language, so learners should already possess strong skills in English and at least one additional language.

Accreditation & Recognition

The Interpreter Diploma is CPD-accredited and designed to support continuing professional development. It provides structured learning in interpreting methods, ethical responsibilities, cultural awareness, specialist contexts, and remote service delivery.

This is a CPD training course and not the Ofqual-regulated Diploma in Public Service Interpreting. It does not provide DPSI status, professional registration, or automatic eligibility for court, police, NHS, or other regulated public-service assignments. Employers and agencies may require language testing, relevant experience, background checks, professional registration, or additional regulated qualifications.

Assessment & Certification

Your understanding is assessed through an online multiple-choice examination covering interpreting techniques, ethics, professional responsibilities, specialist environments, and remote interpreting. A score of 60% is required to pass, and results are available immediately after submission.

Free retakes are available, allowing you to revisit the learning materials and improve your understanding. You may also complete an optional reflective portfolio to examine how interpreting principles can be applied to realistic professional situations.

After successfully passing the assessment, you can order a PDF version of your CPD-accredited certificate. An optional printed certificate is available for £24.99. The certificate demonstrates CPD learning but does not independently assess practical bilingual proficiency or replace a regulated interpreting qualification such as the DPSI.
