Accreditation & Recognition
The Safeguarding Train the Trainer course is CPD-accredited and designed to support professional development in safeguarding awareness and training delivery. It provides structured learning for professionals responsible for helping colleagues understand safeguarding risks, responsibilities, and reporting procedures.
This is a CPD training course rather than a regulated teaching qualification or statutory safeguarding appointment. Completion does not automatically authorise a learner to issue accredited safeguarding qualifications or act as an organisation’s Designated Safeguarding Lead. Employers remain responsible for determining trainer competence and any additional role-specific requirements.
- CPD-accredited professional development training
- Delivered entirely online through self-paced study
- Includes 12 months’ access to course materials
- Covers safeguarding knowledge and training delivery principles
- Includes an online assessment and optional reflective portfolio
- Optional CPD-accredited digital and printed certificates
Assessment & Certification
Your understanding is assessed through an online multiple-choice examination covering safeguarding principles and training delivery. A score of 60% is required to pass, and your result is available immediately after submission. You will also need to complete and submit a written assignment, shown as the “Final Exam” in the course. Free retakes allow you to revisit the learning materials and strengthen your knowledge before trying again.
The written assignment allows you to explore how safeguarding training can be planned and delivered within your own professional environment. It can help you reflect on learner needs, presentation methods, sensitive discussions, and ways to evaluate training effectiveness.
After successfully completing both assessment requirements, you can order a PDF version of your CPD-accredited certificate. An optional printed certificate is available for £24.99. The certificate provides evidence of continuing professional development but does not replace a regulated teaching qualification, workplace competency assessment, or organisation-specific trainer approval.
